On Monday, as scheduled, we have to take the test. It's held at Hellenic American Union (HAU) where our whole programs will take place. The program agenda was actually at 9.30 but it was changed it into 1.00 pm.
While waiting, I tried to explore a small part of Athens: The National Garden, which is exactly in front of the hotel. Despite a light rain, I went inside and took some pictures. I didn't want to go further because it was so quiet and I am afraid if something happened to me. Well, since the rain was getting heavier and heavier, I ran back to the hotel lobby, and waited for the rest of the group to show up.
Finally, at 12.30, we all gathered at the hotel lobby, but since we didn't know each other yet, we just sat separately, the committee came and introduced herself. Then, everybody greeted each other. It was raining, even it started in the morning. So, we all went to HAU by car. The place was quite near, it's about 20 minutes walk (as they told us) but it seemed that the place was too far as the car which took us there had to pass some small alleys.
Finally we arrived at HAU, and we went up to the 4th floor. Entering the room, some officers were there and we directly sat on the provided space. We introduced each other, and that was the first time I really know the participants, where they are from, what school they teach, as well as what other activities they have. In short, the introduction session was done and the next agenda was: LUNCH.
I was so surprised that the restaurant was on top of the building and the view was amazingly beautiful. The windows overlooked the great Acropolis. And when we had to take the food, I was shocked that none of the food is I am familiar with. It's okay for me, as long as it doesn't kill me.
The program ended at around 5 and we were taken back to the hotel by car (again)
Well, it's tiring yet fun as I knew my new colleagues.
